MythTV Installation Video | MythDora

Install MythTV Screencast

This three part screencast will walk you through a MythTV install using MythDora, an "all-in-one" MythTV linux distribution. As MythDora installs MythTV and Linux, it will format your hard drive, install all the MythTV components, and walk you through the configuration of the critical components. If you are new to MythTV and have a spare machine to install on, MythDora is an excellent way to try MythTV for the first time.

Extend Your MythDora Video Partition using LVM

One nice feature in MythDora is that it places the partition that stores video on a LVM volume.

LVM permits a single disk partition to "span" across more than one physical disk. When adding additional disks to grow your media library, you can expand your existing media partition right onto and across the new drives instead of having to figure out how to split things up.

MythDora 3.1

MythDora 3.1 has been released. This release fixes is a bug fix edition that resolves some issues found in MythDora 3.0.

Based on Fedora Core 5, MythDora is an easy to install Linux distribution that will install a fully functional Linux OS and MythTV setup from scratch.
